Humblytics Review (2026)

CRO suite — A/B testing + heatmaps + funnels + AI hypothesis generation in one $19 cookie-free tracker. Replaces deprecated Google Optimize and budget-tier Hotjar+Optimizely

🇺🇸 United States Since 2024 Closed-source SaaS

Humblytics is the only tool in this directory that bundles A/B testing, click-and-scroll heatmaps, conversion funnels, and AI hypothesis generation behind a single 36 KB tag — fully cookie-free, $19 entry. Every other CRO option here forces a pick-two trade-off: Swetrix has A/B + feature flags but no heatmaps, OpenPane

+ What it does well

Humblytics is the only tool in this directory that bundles A/B testing, click-and-scroll heatmaps, conversion funnels, and AI hypothesis generation behind a single 36 KB tag — fully cookie-free, $19 entry. Every other CRO option here forces a pick-two trade-off: Swetrix has A/B + feature flags but no heatmaps, OpenPanel has A/B + session replay but no heatmaps, Seline has AI chat but no experimentation. Humblytics fills the gap.

The AI angle is the sharpest differentiator. Humblytics watches your funnel + heatmap data and proposes specific test variants — "swap CTA copy here, based on this scroll-depth signal" — with one-click experiment creation. The 2026 Agent API takes this further: AI agents can spin up A/B tests programmatically. Seline's AI is conversational; Humblytics' is generative-into-experiments.

Visual no-code split testing on Webflow and Framer in one click. Closest replacement for the deprecated Google Optimize and the now-mid-market Optimizely Web — without the $50k enterprise contract. Revenue attribution is first-class via Stripe + Foxy direct integration.

Weaknesses & gotchas

The ~36 KB script is by far the heaviest tag in this directory — thirty-six times Plausible (1KB), twenty-four times Pirsch (1.5KB). Async loading mitigates LCP impact but on a 100KB-budget landing page the bundle is conspicuous.

No EU hosting option. All data lives in AWS Oregon (us-west-2) via Timescale Cloud. Humblytics cites French CNIL and German DSK rulings to justify banner-free operation, but raw event payloads still cross the Atlantic. German and French DPOs requiring both no-banner and no-US-transfer will reject this.

Compliance disclosure at the directory's lowest tier. No SOC 2, no ISO 27001, no HIPAA, no published DPA, no formal sub-processor list, no DNT honoring statement. Self-attested GDPR is the entire compliance story. Compare to Matomo Cloud (ISO 27001), Piwik PRO (full enterprise stack), Countly (ISO 27001 + SOC 2).

Single-founder, Webflow-origin, ~18 months old, closed-source. Real bus-factor risk. CSV export is your only durable backup.

Best for

Best for: solo founders and small marketing teams running on Webflow or Framer, optimizing landing pages and pricing pages with no in-house developer or analyst. Anyone replacing Google Optimize (deprecated 2023) or evaluating Hotjar + Optimizely without enterprise budget. CRO consultants who want a one-click visual editor + funnels + AI hypothesis generation under one bill.

Real value at $19/mo (Plus): one A/B test, one funnel, one heatmap, 25 AI insights — enough for a single landing-page experiment per cycle. At $79/mo (Business): five concurrent A/B tests + five funnels + five heatmaps + 200 AI insights + unlimited sites — the realistic working tier for SMB marketing teams.

Not for: sites with strict JS-budget constraints (use Plausible + separate Microsoft Clarity for heatmaps), sites needing EU data residency (use Matomo Cloud Frankfurt + VWO), enterprises requiring SOC 2 / ISO 27001 (use Piwik PRO), CRO programs that need server-side experimentation or multivariate tests (use Optimizely Feature Experimentation), WordPress-first sites (no plugin yet), or anyone who wants AGPL/MIT source-code access (use Swetrix or OpenPanel).

Setup walkthrough

One snippet for everything. Drop one tag in :

`html

`

This single tag carries pageviews, engagement, A/B variant exposure, heatmap capture, funnel events, form submissions, and revenue attribution — no extra script for any of these.

Per-platform. Webflow: Site Settings → Custom Code → Head (or one-click via Webflow App Store). Framer: Site Settings → General → Custom Code. Shopify: Online Store → Themes → Edit Code. WordPress: header/footer plugin or header.php (no native plugin yet).

A/B test activation. Open the visual editor on your live URL → click any element → edit copy/style/visibility → save as Variant B → set traffic split → run. No code review, no developer touch.

Revenue attribution. Connect Stripe or Foxy via OAuth in the dashboard; purchases auto-attribute to the experiment variant the visitor saw at checkout entry.

Migrating from GA4

From Hotjar. You lose: full session recordings (DOM replay), survey/poll widgets. You gain: A/B testing in the same tool, funnels, AI hypothesis generation, ~36KB single tag instead of Hotjar's 80KB+ stack. Migration: install Humblytics tag, run 2 weeks parallel, archive Hotjar recordings as MP4, then remove Hotjar. Heatmap data does not transfer — start fresh.

From Optimizely Web. Optimizely Web pricing starts ~$50k/yr enterprise. Humblytics Business at $79/mo gives the 80% case for ~1% of the cost: visual no-code editor, traffic split, statistical significance, revenue lift. You lose: server-side experimentation, multivariate tests, audience targeting at Optimizely's depth, SOC 2 / ISO 27001 attestation. Acceptable for marketing-page CRO; not for product experimentation on logged-in users.

From Google Optimize (deprecated September 2023). Cleanest migration path — same use case (marketing-page A/B tests, simple goal tracking). Install Humblytics, recreate active experiments in the visual editor, connect Stripe or your form provider for goals. You gain: heatmaps + funnels + AI insights that Google Optimize never had.

FAQ (7)

Does Humblytics replace Hotjar + Google Optimize?

Yes for the basic case (heatmaps + A/B + funnels in one $19 snippet). Loses: full DOM session recordings, multivariate tests, server-side experimentation. For visual A/B + click/scroll heatmap + conversion funnels with revenue lift, it's a clean Optimizely replacement (Optimizely Web deprecated September 2023; Google Optimize October 2023).

Will the ~36 KB tag tank my Core Web Vitals?

Async-loaded over CDN, so no LCP/INP block. But on a 100KB-budget landing page, 36KB is meaningful. Plausible 1KB and Fathom 2KB are radically lighter. For JS-budget-conscious sites, install Humblytics only on tested pages not site-wide.

How does the AI hypothesis generation differ from Seline's AI chat?

Humblytics' AI watches funnel + heatmap data and proposes specific A/B test variants ('change CTA copy from X to Y based on Z scroll-depth signal') with one-click test creation. Seline's AI is conversational (you ask, it answers). Humblytics is generative-into-experiments; Seline is descriptive-from-data. The 2026 Agent API extends this with programmatic test creation by AI agents.

Is data really cookie-free during A/B tests?

Yes. Variant assignment uses the IP+UA hash fingerprint. No cookies, no localStorage. Trade-off: a visitor switching networks (mobile→Wi-Fi) may get re-bucketed to a different variant. Acceptable for short marketing-page tests; risky for multi-day checkout-flow tests.

Can I run banner-free in Germany or France?

Per Humblytics' own blog citing CNIL (FR) and DSK (DE), yes — no cookies set, only hashed identifiers. But raw data lives in AWS Oregon US, so a strict German DPO might still demand SCCs and Data Privacy Framework attestation — which Humblytics doesn't publish. Get privacy counsel sign-off.

What's the API access?

Public REST API on all paid tiers (Plus through Enterprise). The 2026 Agent API lets AI agents create tests programmatically. CSV export available. No documented Slack webhooks — for 'test ended → notify Slack' you'll need to poll the API.

What happens to my A/B test data if Humblytics goes away?

Closed-source, no self-host, no public S3/Glacier export — historical experiment data lives only in their dashboard until you CSV-export it. Single-founder Webflow-origin tool with bus-factor risk. Mitigation: schedule monthly CSV exports; keep test variant copy in your own design tool.
